Gary Todoroff Extends an Invitation to a Photographic

Exhibit on 7-7-7 at the Arkley Performing Arts Center

Theater Panorama

From the back row of the balcony, I took five shots with the Zuiko 7-14mm f4 mounted on the Olympus E-330. Four White Lightning studio strobes filled the existing light with placement both downstairs and upstairs. The E330 was set for Manual exposure, 4 seconds at f5 with the lens set to 8mm, ISO 100 and RAW capture. PanuVue software stitched the five photos together into a full 180 degree panorama.

The photograph above is on display as a 13x48 inch print in the lobby of the Arkley Center for the Performing Arts on G Street between 4th and 5th Steets (US101) in Eureka, CA, July 7, 2007 6-9pm . The photographic exhibit features theater photographs I took during restoration and construction. Albums will be on display, plus three more matted and framed enlargements of the theater in addition to the above panorama.

Also, local California North Coast landscape and aerial photographs fill the three lobbies and the 35 foot wide stage. Thanks to the Holiday Inn at the Arcata/Eureka airport in McKinleyville - they are loaning me the just-competed 20x30 inch and larger framed photographs that will be installed in their hotel lobby and conference rooms after the Arts Alive exhibit.

In Eurka, California a monthly event called First Saturday Night Arts Alive has turned into a festive time that brings out thousands of people in the town declared America's Number One Arts Town in the United States -- Eureka was voted as the #1 best small art town in John Villani's book "The 100 Best Small Art Towns In America."

I have often had photographic exhibits over the years for Arts Alive, and am honored to be the first art exhibitor in the new Arkley Center.

Some outdoor photographs of the Arkley Center are on my previous Lympa Log page: http://www.northcoastphotos.com/Lympa_2006_04_02.htm

The web page for the Arkley Center for the Performing Arts

contains several photographs of the thousands I took during restoration. Also their home page uses licenced photographs of the theater and the Redwoods, all taken with Leica and Olympus camera equipment.
